The galaxy is a dangerous place: merciless AI ravagers, ancient despotic horrors, pirates... Civilizations live hunted, and on the move, but most never know it – they never leave the virtual worlds of the Skein. The few that do are called Rangers. They use specialized AI-driven robot frames to gather resources, defend the Skein from external threats, establish new capital ships for shards, and hunt for relics of the past. The Skein needs Rangers to pierce the darkness - will you be one of them?

There are two rulesets here. 

ExFrame is a light TTRPG that can be played SOLO or CO-OP. You don’t need a anyone as a GM - just follow the routines in the book.  You will play a Ranger, but on mission you will act through different robot frames who are the hands and feet of the Ranger in the physical world. There are generators that help creating missions (delves), and the rules outline how to create a group of frames and play through them.   

Mechanics: 

• Frames are dice pools defined by expertise, systems, gear, and bots
• Roll a dice pool and look for set success 
• Random sci-fi dungeon delve generation
• Elementary base (the ship) management
• Random loot in the form of salvage (for healing) and patterns (new gear/bots)

ExFrame Metal Reign is the same setting and concept, but it is a traditional RPG based upon the Into the Odd rules. Frames are designed around their cores which give them access to unique systems. There are 20 cores offering 190 unique frames, and each core offers access to 8 different systems allowing a lot of unique and customizable options. 

Even though they are capable, most frames can’t stand up long against the AI and Ancient foes that they may face. You should expect some to fall during a mission, but you can quickly print up a replacement - or even a different model - and send it out to aid its allies. This is called a ReFrame and a central part of the game.
