A hack to push Into the Odd into space by allowing you to create space ships.
Ships are inspired by and built upon the ships from Lilliputian: adventure on the Open Seas by Matthew Morris.
This is a hack. You will need a copy of an Into the Odd or a similar ruleset.

Is a starship essentially treated as another character in whatever system you're using this with (Into the Odd, Cairn, etc)?
Also, do you have any advice on determining how many slots a ship has?

1. Correct, a ship will just be another character in whatever game you are playing.
2. Think about mass: a ship will have between 4 (barebones) and 16 (bulky) mass - average will be 10 (just like a PC). Split mass between armament and hardware depending upon the class of the ship: 2 ARM to 1 HW for warships, and swap that for merchants. Each mass = 1 slot.
